The problem is that people like Santorum and liberal bashers like this clown "person with scruples supposedly but no balls to put his name behind is ranting bullshit" -- these people NEED a set of instructions to make their lives feel fulfilled. The whole paradigm of liberalism is to question the irrational, often idiotic policies that Santorum either got from his "how to be a Republican Clone Handbook" or from his "how to get re-elected no matter what you may have said or done handbook." Liberals have the courage to question idiots like Santorum who are running this country into the ground, morally, fiscally, militarily, scientifically, monetarily -- anything I left out???!

Liberals won WWII. Brought us out of the depression. Gave us the 40 hour work week. Gave women the vote. Freed the slaves. Gave the slaves grandchildren civil rights when conservatives refused to grant them. Enabled women to have access to education and careers. Conservatives fought kicking and screaming against all of these things. They have found themselves on the wrong side of every major challenge and ethical issue the country faced in the last century (including WWII, they didn't want to get involved if you recall).

I'm amazed at the vitriol people have toward liberalism. The Evil liberals enabled Ann Coulter to go to law school for crying out loud (assuming she's not a transsexual - I think the jury is still out on that one.)

The liberals are fighting to keep the things that they fought for for 100 years. We are fighting to maintain equal opportunity for all. The conservatives still sore with their losses in the last century have mounted a massive attack to dismantle everything that makes this country great. Its not that the liberals have nothing to offer, they have already provided for a century and are being attacked by these reactionary conservatives, who hate women, education and civil rights. They want to give all of the power back to corporations and churches. Its a real head scratcher. Anonymous coward, you may be making some ground. I hope you fail. I don't hate this country like you do.
